No, Christina Grimmie never had plastic surgery. Instead, her murderer Kevin Loibl had opted for the surgery.

According to various reports, Christina Grimmie’s killer, Kevin Loibl, allegedly had a crush on her. 

Loibl shot and killed a 22-year-old then-voice actress on Season 6 after a concert in Orlando on June 10, 2016.

Loibl’s Best Buy associate reportedly spoke to TMZ after the incident. He was part of the company’s Geek Squad. 

Loibl went so far as to change the makeup look, the company claimed. He had hair transplants and eye LASIK surgery and is said to have gone on a vegetarian diet to lose weight.

Loibl reportedly told co-workers she met the young star and played an online game with him.

However, the news outlets reported that Grimmie had never met Loibl before, and when he found out she had a boyfriend, he became enraged and allegedly shot her.

Christina Grimmie: Autopsy Report And Case Update

An autopsy report of Christina Grimmie declared murder which was released on Friday, July 22, 2016. The report confirmed that Christina died of “gunshot wounds to the head and chest.” 

The autopsy also discussed Christina’s killer, 27-year-old Kevin Loibl, who died of a gunshot wound to the head. 

After Loibl shot Christina, her brother Marcus confronted the shooter, and the two men struggled before Loibl turned the gun on himself. It was Marcus who identified Christina’s body.

In honor of Christina’s death, her family founded the Christina Grimmie Foundation. The foundation is a non-profit organization that supports families affected by gun violence. 

Shortly after her demise, Christina’s story and legacy, along with the foundation’s work, were featured in an episode of Investigation Discovery Death by Fame, titled “Behind the Scenes.”

Christina was a teenager when she started showing her musical talent when she started showcasing covers of popular songs on YouTube.

She had covered songs from Justin Bieber’s “Baby” to Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and Owl City’s “Firefly.” 

The public was mesmerized by her vocals, and eventually, she started receiving positive comments and emails. 

On “Behind the Scenes,” her father said at one point, she thought her phone was malfunctioning.

In 2009, Christina started posting covers of popular songs on YouTube. After the release of her debut EP, Find Me (2011), her YouTube channel reached one million subscribers. 

After reaching two million subscribers, she released her first studio album, With Love (2013).

Grimmie later competed on season 6 of The Voice, finishing third when Adam Levine was her coach on the show.

Levine announced during the finale that he would sign her with 222 Records regardless of the result.

Likewise, Lil Wayne also offered to sign her to his Young Money Entertainment label. She was briefly signed to Island Records before going down.

In 2016, Grimmie released her second EP, Side A. Moreover, the same year, the singer made her acting debut in Matchbreaker. 

Unfortunately, on June 10, 2016, Grimmie was killed while signing autographs after a concert at Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida.
