Fans of Union J have been through the mill this past year. At the beginning of 2016 it was announced that the much loved band member George Shelley would be leaving the group for good to pursue solo projects, he was replaced by former Stereo Kicks member Casey Johnson.
The new look four-piece hit the road and were recording a new album together but just when it looked like the J-Cats could expect some new music from their favorite boyband the rug was once again pulled from under their feet. Casey Johnson left Union J this year meaning the group were once again one man down.
But the lads quickly dusted themselves off and vowed to continue as a three-piece which is what they were originally when they auditioned for the X Factor as a trio called Triple J back in 2012. So JJ Hamblett, Josh Cuthbert, and Jaymi Hensley are now working on a new album which is due for release early next year.
But while that may seem like a long way away, fans of Union J needn’t be too upset as the trio plan to release a new single before the end of August with another record due to drop before the end of the year.

And JJ has shared a snippet of one of the tracks today. The song is titled ‘Wild Fire’ and it sounds amazing. It’s very different to what Union J have ever released before;

It is not yet known if ‘Wild Fire’ will be Union J’s next single or whether they will choose to release the track ‘Stronger‘ which they shared a snippet of last month.
